Strategy

The AllianceBernstein team focuses on stocks it thinks can consistently beat Wall Street consensus forecasts for earnings, sales, margins, or other metrics. The fund trades opportunistically but keeps about 80% of its assets in 25 to 35 core holdings.  Read more

Vanguard, in July 2008, replaced AllianceBernstein manager Alan Levi, who had run all or part of this fund since June 2001, with another team from the firm. Scott Wallace and James Reilly and their team at AllianceBernstein Large Cap Growth now share subadvising duties with John Jostrand of William Blair, who has worked on this fund since April 2004.  Read more
