While not the cheapest place for investors to find all-index age-based options, this plan's broad overall lineup of Vanguard offerings has appeal. Despite slicing the annual fees more than a year ago, the 0.50% the plan now charges for its age-based options, and the 0.50% to 0.70% charged on the static portfolios, still doesn't match the low fees of Vanguard portfolios in Utah and Ohio. Still, the inclusion of a number of cheap, actively-managed individual fund options has made this the most flexible of the various Vanguard options across the country. Nevada residents don't pay a state income tax, so there's no tax advantage for them to stay with this home state plan, but residents and nonresidents alike may find the added flexibility here worth the slightly higher cost.(Information as of 03/13/2009) |
